Junior: North Creek High School is an excellent school! My experience with North Creek High has been great with many events and awesome clubs. There are events like Homecoming, the Spring Fling, and our yearly Jag Day, where we set up games and celebrate school spirit. The clubs are diverse, from DECA, HOSA, and even Book Club, you can join any club! It's a good way to make new friends and to find out what you like. You can even start your club! The sports are great as well. The football games are perfect to show off school spirit and cheer on our team. North Creek has a beautiful campus, with great classes and teachers. The staff is helpful, and if you have any problems, there is always someone to help. My two favorite places are the Library, which has 2 levels, and a great selection of books, and the Commons, where Nutrition Break and our Lunches take place. Junior: Overall, I'd say the school has a good atmosphere: the majority of staff are kind and respectful, as are most of the students. I've had a good experience with the counselors, and the IB coordinators (current and future) are excellent! However, I've had a very mixed experience with the teachers. Especially in freshman and sophomore years, there are some teachers who I feel do not push their students enough, leaving them feeling bored, frustrated, and unprepared. However, most of the junior and senior teachers I know are talented and passionate (the IB teachers in particular). I wish that the school would take greater efforts to make sure that all teachers are giving their students the best education and experience possible. Letting some teachers continue running classes as they do is frankly unfair to the students who truly want to learn. I think that an anonymous survey at the end of the year would be an excellent way to let students share their thoughts on how teachers are doing.... Read 357 reviews

Senior: I love my school. The building may not look great, but all of the teachers and staff care about students. It does not have a lot of resources and money, but they all try their best. The environment is free and caring. Students are even allowed to demonstrate peacefully. I felt very comfortable in this school. Even during the pandemic, the school tried its best to provide online learning as best as they could. It can use better food though. It can use some more healthy food and drinks for students. I wish there were more after-school activities and transportations for the students. It was hard to participate in after-school activities because there were no rides available after school. But, I know the resources for this are limited in my school district. Also, I wish my school would participate in national competitions such as spelling bees or science fairs. Niche User: This school was unique because of the inclusive community. There was a very strong parent community to help out students in the class and during field trips. There was also a large Deaf and Hard of Hearing community which I thought was helpful for them, but also for educating students who may not know of their struggles. Senior: I had a very good experience at Edmonds Heights K-12. The two greatest reasons why I decided to attend that school after attending public elementary school for 7 years was because of its amazing theatre program and flexibility when it comes to students with learning disabilities. I have severe ADHD and this was the perfect environment for me to learn in. All of the teachers were accommodating and understanding to the needs that I had, it made a stress-free school life. The only part of the school that didn't work for me was the social aspect. It's a very small school with a broad age range and as a social butterfly, this was not the most ideal. But, I had good friends and I was actually able to learn, which I valued more in the end. This school gave me the education I needed and pushed me to be successful and confident in my school work.... Alum: Scriber is an alternative school in the Edmonds school district. At scriber you can tell that the school is the runt of the school district because it’s in an old building and has very few programs to offer. However, the teachers there are FANTASTIC! They offer a hands on learning style and support system found nowhere else in the public education system.
