Senior: I am a senior in high school who has been going to Lisa Academy since I was in elementary school. I've seen this school change in so many ways, mostly for the better! There isn't much extracurricular wise, if that bothers you then you probably wouldn't like it here. However, the college prep is insane. I feel much more prepared than my non-Lisa peers. If you're looking for a school that is hyperfocused on the future of its students, then this school is the perfect fit for you. Senior: At eStem, I enjoyed the company of my classmates and faculty. The people there make you feel like you are a family and are apart of something big! I had a lot of fun in and out of the classroom because everyone tries to encourage you to do your best. It is so easy to be involved within the school because there is a variety of sports, clubs, and activities you can be in. I had wonderful teachers who pushed me to work harder and helped me when I was confused. Their challenging coursework kept me on my toes, and I will forever be thankful for the teachers who helped me spread my wings and grow into the person I am today. I would like for eStem to improve their communication skills because I have had my fair share of not knowing what was going on in the upcoming weeks. Parent: My son has attended LISA Academy since kindergarten. He is now a senior in high school. He has received an excellent education and it shows in his preparedness for his future. He plans to attend college and I have full confidence that he will be highly successful. With my HS years having been spent in 3 very different schools within Saline, Pulaski, and later Jefferson county I consider ourselves blessed that he has not been exposed to the things that I had to see or experience. Senior: Overall, the school system helps the student grow and learn many life skills. It effectively prevents bullying. The wide range of clubs and activities can open students' minds to discovering new career options or interests. They include many STEM fields and interests. Teachers support your passion and lend a helping hand on rough subjects. The lack of bullying is fantastic, yet, the school needs to adjust their homework schedules; it can become overbearing to a few students when they can also be taking AP courses. Senior: If you are looking for a school that displays multiple pathways in life, then the North Little Rock Center of Excellence is the school for you! This school allows students to attend classes specializing in different fields of study. Classes range from criminal justice to pharmaceutical sciences. The teachers selected are one off the best in their branches. They challenge us students in order to prepare us for adulthood as it can be a very competitive stage in our lives. Alum: My experience at Sheridan High School was so memorable. I am so blessed to have grown up in a district with my friends. The teachers in Sheridan have a special gift for loving students and making an impact on their lives. I learned so many life lessons in high school from my teachers that I simply couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. They truly care. This made learning invigorating. I knew throughout my education that I would have dozens of teachers pushing me to be my very best. One of my favorite things about Sheridan though, is our find arts department. Along with being on the dance team, I participated in marching band, theater, and art class. That was where I could truly thrive. The fine arts teachers have so much talent and I was really pushed to excel in those classes. I wouldn’t change my high school experience at all.
