Senior: Coe-Brown is an alright school. Overall the academics are very rigorous, though homework tends to lean on the side of busywork rather than helping students understand the content. Competition to be in the top ten is intense (I'm in the 40s with a GPA of 96), so if you strive to be valedictorian, I wouldn't recommend. There isn't much support offered for people with special needs, and the guidance counselors vary from the nicest people ever to being rather unhelpful. The administration is more concerned with appearances than the student body, which leads to many problems when it comes to social issues. However, the Headmaster is very open to conversations about issues, and he is commonly found greeting students in the halls or joking with the faculty. Sports are (as always) funded much more than the art departments, and will most likely remain that way for a while. Parent: Very safe and friendly environment for my children. The school wants the parents to get engaged in the school community which I appreciate so much. Zero bullying issues. My children feel respected and loved in this school. The teachers are happy and eager to communicate with the parents regarding any issue. The administrative team is very helpful and responsible. Reading, languages and art are great in the school , Math is not as strong , I have to work with my children at home. Science studies are very limited. Overall a great environment to help you raise well adjusted children but you have to work with them to fill some academic gaps, and it works perfectly for me.... Read 2 reviews

Parent: A solid public middle school. Supports the kids if they need extra help without making it obvious. Plenty of extracurricular activities. Great clean building and clean grounds. The office staff are incredibly hard working and are a great asset to Raymond. The leaders are very efficient and have a lot of heart (which is the most important thing, imo). The teachers are amazing and truly care about what makes each student unique. Small enough school to feel like one big family but big enough to offer solid education in more than just the basics. The new superintendent seems progressive, organized and caring all at the same time. My kids love IHGMS! If you can do homeschooling/unschooling go for it (I think that's the best) but if you can't I think you'll be impressed with the public schools of Raymond.... Read 2 reviews

Parent: Our children LOVE the Hooksett Schools. The teachers are communicative, administration is involved with the student body, and the PTA is award winning. There are many extra-curricular activities for the children to do, as well as many advanced learning opportunities for children looking for more advanced development.
