#129 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
Senior: Stivers definitely has many, many problems, but in comparison to the rest of DPS and most local schools, it's far better. The diversity is extremely high. The drug problem is very manageable and small compared to the surrounding schools/districts. There can be cliques but there are no "popular kids," only well-known ones and less well known ones. Bullying goes on here but to a minimal extent, most of the people will either tolerate you or be quite friendly. The consensus for every art magnet seems to be it's fine but could be drastically improved-- a lot of people drop theirs at least once. The academics are incredibly mixed. I've had some amazing teachers that taught me so much and were there for me and I've had some that made me miserable. Overall, the academics are fine, you do learn. The school needs a lot of policy changes and has a lot of problems but I really enjoyed my time at Stivers and made a ton of friends. If in the DPS system, this is definitely your best option!!
