Detroit Lakes Senior High School
#62 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota
- Detroit Lakes Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.43 out of 5 74 reviews
Senior: As a senior i'd say my experience with Detroit Lakes has been tolerable, I mean come on I made it this far didn't I? It honestly has its ups and downs like any school, the teachers are it's strong point, they really show the effort they put in for their students, yes of course there are a few weak links in the teacher category, but in general most of the teachers I have had make it pretty easy to make a connection with them. One thing I dislike is the amount of rich entitlement from some of the students, but that's only a few, our school is actually pretty much free of judgment most of the time, and though the girls here like to gossip, physical bullying is usually zero to none. So final thoughts, I feel like it could be so much worse than it is so i'm in no place to complain.

Perham Senior High School
#119 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota
- Perham-Dent Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.79 out of 5 48 reviews
Junior: Perham High School has classes for every type of learner. There are college prep courses, food and sewing, a very progressive art department, a manufacturing company right in the school, automotive, superb special education teacher, and many physical education courses. I do wish there were more college in the school teachers, but we are able to take course online if we chose that. Perham High School supports all learners. We have fun too! There are pep fests, talent shows, community projects, lunch fun, and many organizations. Our school building is only three years old and is beautiful to be in.

Frazee Secondary School
#169 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota
- Frazee-Vergas Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.44 out of 5 34 reviews
Senior: Frazee Secondary is a small town local school. Your classes are small which makes it very easy for learning and even one on one learning if needed. Frazee offers a variety of sports and arts programs, which almost everyone is involved in in at least one activity or another. The students and teachers all have great bonds which leads to a very positive outlook on school. I would recommend this school to you!

Pelican Rapids Secondary School
#234 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota
- Pelican Rapids Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.42 out of 5 57 reviews
Senior: The school has just recently been remodeled. There is a new gym with a walking track a dance room and a weight room. There is a LSO a new auditorium/fine arts. There are many activities to choose from that invoke students such as sports like basketball, soccer, and track to indoor activities like knowledge bowl and speech. The best part, is that you can be in one sport every season for fall, winter and spring, including other clubs considering most activities dont interfere with others.
The school class options are relatively decent as well, having many science courses and mathematics. Once a student is a Junior or Senior they even have the opportunity to take a few free college courses through the school granted they have A's in those classes and pass a test. The school offers Spanish as a second language, but it would be nice to see some more options available. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful. Being pelican is in a small town, the community is very close.
