Freshman: Lansing Community College is a great school for students who don't know what they want to do, or for students who want to save money! The classes are intimate like a high school classroom. Many universities have hundreds of students in their classrooms, so it can be harder to have that one-on-one time with the professors! Senior: I really like Grand Ledge because of its diversity in both the student body and faculty. I like that there are so many extracurricular activities to choose from, and the staff does a great job to make sure that every student feels seen! I also love our mental health companion, Gravy the dog! I would like to see better maintenance on the bathrooms, but, overall, it’s a very nice and I’m happy to be a student there!... Niche User: Cole Academy is unlike any other school I've ever been involved with. In a good way. The staff is second to none. Each classroom has a teaching assistant so there is never an issue with teacher/student ratio. Cole competes academically with the best schools in the area, and considering their student base, this is no small feat. Having only one classroom each of K-6, there is a family like atmosphere. Being a charter school, there is no geographic area that is required to attend Cole. However, the majority of kids that start at Cole stay there through 6th grade. My one complaint used to be that they did not have an actual gymnasium. However, they built a great new one last year so that problem has been solved. I honestly would not want to send my child anywhere else and we will be sending our younger child to Cole as well (as soon as she is old enough for kindergarten).... Read 10 reviews

Parent: All of my children have attended this school. They have made extraordinary efforts to make sure that they are prepared for the future. They have high expectations and the kids rise to the occasion. They are great at bringing out students full potential and building self-esteem and academic excellence. They teach the children moral focus as well as academics and help to build in the a strong moral compass. Our family has had some unique situations and the school has always supported us and helped to provide stability and guidance. I have to kids with ADHD who have IEP and 504 and they have worked at making sure that they receive all the programs and services available and have gotten them set up for success. The teachers are good and there is lots of encouragement for parent involvement. Senior: Charlotte High school is a very special place, there I have met many outstanding people who have changed my life for the better, the teachers there care about their students so much and sacrifice a lot to be there for us. Charlotte has an amazing athletic dome that provides student-athletes and their supporters a great environment to experience high school sports. The project success course also offers a great alternative learning environment to those students who wish to not get the traditional education or struggle. Not many other schools will provide that. The school also has a great school police officer named officer carol. He is friendly and always offers a helpful hand. The community has also just passed a bond that will improve the school even more, with new addictions like tennis courts, an auxiliary gym, improved FFA resources and more!
