Senior: My experiences at Baltimore City College have been phenomenal. Although my school lacks the materials, opportunities, consistency in support, and other resources students need to attain success in pursuing their education, going to a Baltimore city public school has allowed me to become more open-minded in terms of recognizing the racial injustice, redlining, food-deserts, and violence in Baltimore. Being surrounded by this community has allowed me to grow as a solid and social individual. The culture and diversity at Baltimore City College have allowed me to develop a labor of love, a calling; and that is helping people. I helped organize the One Love club with my fellow collegians and raised over $3,000 to donate to the foundation. I created the Surfrider foundation club, where we reduced plastic waste by working with local restaurants during the pandemic.
