Senior: I liked the friendships that I had at KMVA and the office people were nice people and helping people. In general, the teachers were nice and taught their subjects well. It really seemed like they helped you prepare for Running Start/College really well as I am doing better in college than in highschool. Parent: My son has done so well at Summit Olympus! As a child that struggles with learning, the smaller class sizes and specialized learning experience has made such a difference in him. He has been able to access extra help after school, and the teachers really encourage him to be self motivated and responsible for his academic success. I was especially impressed with how quickly the school had the learning platform up and ready, and the teachers learned how to use online teaching methods when the school shut down for COVID-19! My student was down a couple of days of learning, while most schools were down weeks to even months before they were really up and running. High School Junior: The academics are really the best of the area when it comes to middle school education. When I was there I loved my english and science teachers. The science facilities are great and the students sit at group tables rather than desks. The district does not have a high school so the schools weren't held as closely to the state requirements, there was more time for learning about things that invested the students. Senior: Auburn Riverside is the best!!! The school environment is so clean and friendly. And their teachers really care about their students and work really hard on the subjects they teach. The school has a wide range of subjects they offer and many languages courses and clubs as well. They even have a small special 8th period that every student has called AR time where students get time in school to do homework or projects or sleep cause sometimes students don't have time when they get home to take care of their siblings or do jobs to support their family. Our school also partakes in school programs like Breaking down the walls and Character strong where it helps bring students together since quarentine and online school messed everyone's social skills. The school has massive school spirit and fun spirt weeks. there are rarely any news of fighting or bullying, etc. And it seems that both the students and teachers have a really great time.... Sophomore: What I like about Federal Way Public Academy (FWPA) the most is that their education system is different than other schools. Their education system offers a great learning experience for students. The teachers have a high expectation of students when it comes to discipline, participation, and knowing the material well. I also admire that they perfectly balance academic life to normal life because every year we host great celebrations, parties and talent shows. After school, I love that there are a variety of clubs to choose from but the best thing FWPA has to offer is Camp. From 6-10 grade, we and our teachers go to remote places in Washington to do a bunch of activities like hiking, playing games, and hanging around the bonfire. During the bonfire, we usually talk about confessions, our feelings, and what we appreciate. I rated this place excellent because not only is the education great, but its where I felt loved, cared, and accept. You'll find that we are one big family.... Read 49 reviews

Senior: Having only moved to Auburn Mountainview this year, I have only experienced this school through distance learning. Regardless, I have had a great experience with my classes, my teachers, and my classmates. The classes I took this year have proven to be helpful in college preparation. My teachers, despite the difficult circumstances of this year, have tried their hardest to accommodate each student and still teach their classes as they would normally. Middle School Student: Over all decent school, just the area isn't great so we have lock down every here and then. Teachers are okay as well, the older ones just don't seem to have a passion for what the do anymore but over decent. Alum: I really liked that it felt like a welcoming environment. The teachers were helpful and supported students in their ambitions. The only downside was that the building was really old and during winters heaters would not work. However there is a new building now and those issues are long gone. Alum: The teachers, staff and students were all extremely welcoming. With high diversity, comes a great environment where empathy is something that can be found wherever you look. I'm glad I attended this school, rather than any other school. The funding for this school was quite low when I went there, but there was many fundraising and community efforts that I can't fault it for what the district decided it's budget is. Everyone who works/worked there deserved a pay raise. Though many of the programs such as sports, music and arts may be lacking due to the aforementioned lack of funds, the experiences made there were priceless to me. Working hard can get you anywhere, such as myself going to UW Seattle, no matter what the reputation of this school is. I recommend the KMTA (if it's still around), and IB; the teachers who teach those programs create one of the best communities in the school, especially the KMTA.
