Junior: I love Atlanta Classical Academy! The teachers are amazing and the school really prepares you for college. However, If you decide to send your child to this school, make sure they TRULY understand how to study. The downfall of many new students at ACA is that when they enter the school (freshman year for ex.) they tend to expect that the grading system and the rigour of work will be the same as their previous school. I would say in order to do well at ACA you must study hard because the curriculum can be intense at times. One critique I would give the school is that the staff is not diverse. As a POC at ACA, having teachers who look like you and can relate to racial problems that may occur at school is very important. However, I believe ACA is currently hiring a more diverse staff for the upcoming school years.... Read 15 reviews

Sophomore: Grady is a great school academically! It has good diversity and a lot of the teachers work really hard to help the students succeed. There is a fairly large divide in socio-economic class as well as race. Most of the students are driven and motivated and care about their studies! Sports such as football are celebrated at Grady, but none of the Grady sports teams are notably good. I have enjoyed my time at Grady so far!... Read 425 reviews

Junior: It's a pretty good school with Teachers that are willing to work with you as well as lots of opportunities for all sorts of categories, whether it be in terms of sports, extracurriculars, or improving your grade. My personal experience has been good in terms of the way they handle things as well as the interaction i've had with a majority of the teachers i've met. Its graduation coaches and Grade Year Counsellors are good at reaching out as well providing information and resources to help with preparing for preparing for college as well as for tests such as the PSAT and SAT. It's also very in touch with the student community with announcements and events such as Spirit Week. I'd say the school is probably the weakest in terms of Academics some times? It's more so an issue with certain teachers taking some time to put in grades which would frustrate some students, but it's more of a very small percentage of teachers. Overall, it's been a pretty great experience!... Read 517 reviews

Senior: The academic standard is high, and the challenging courses increase the average intelligence level of the student body. There are many student created and student led clubs that raise awareness for current issues and real world problems. Unfortunately, the diversity of the school is low, but St. Pius X does its best to educate the students about their privilege. Our school is heavily focused on service to the community and to those less fortunate. The social envirnoment is very cliquey, but that is a common characteristic shared amongst most schools.... Parent: 4 kids went through morningside. 2 special needs. Covid is hard, but the teachers and administration do well with safety and inclusion. Fifth grade is a great transition space to know if your special needs child is going to make it in middle school with minimal parent involvement. Executive functioning is tested in a safe and repairable academic environment. Parent advocacy for children is encouraged and welcomed. Community involvement is incredible, and that is really what makes this school work. The parents amplified the academic environment, so these parents are well educated and involved. Diversity could be improved, but Intown living provides opportunities in such that the suburban public schools lack more. Howard and Grady and more diversified if you stay in district through 12. Walking/biking to school is a big thing. We took advantage of this several mornings, then would do the bus in the afternoon as it was a bit far for the young ones unaccompanied for our house.... Middle School Student: Inman Is a very good middle school I have learned a lot. There are very good teachers. (Shout out to the best teachers Ms Hughes and Ms Hurt). The bathrooms suck but what do you expect from a public middle school. The school has given me a lot to remember. Sophomore: My experience at Charles R Drew Charter School has been interesting. Drew has a different school culture and focuses than most schools. Drew has given me a unique and more technology integrated way of learning, which is different from most. My school is diverse which is beneficial to the present 21-century changing workforce. Drew has explored me to different projects and activities to explore different types of teaching. Since, Drew is a S.T.E.A.M and a Project-Based Learning school classes offered to show me a connection between two subjects before this, the connection was not clear. One of the many I like are the different clubs offered and the variety. One thing I want to see change at Drew is the environment. Our environment at Drew can be chaotic at times. The last thing I would like to see change is for the students to have a more positive behavior and mindset.... Read 22 reviews

Parent: Overall, Westlake is a fantastic school with many educational pathways for its students. I like that it has a magnet track, International Baccalaureate program as well as several career pathway options. The administration, staff and teachers are well qualified and well equipped with the knowledge to teach and prepare the student body for college and beyond. It has an extremely gifted music and arts department. It also offers many opportunities for students to become involved in extracurricular activities and community service projects. Westlake is also known for its athletics programs and boasts with championships in several sports. I like that students can choose a career pathway such as the medical profession, healthcare, graphics design, computer programming, law and public safety, as well as the arts. It also provides students the opportunity for Dual Enrollment courses. There are so many opportunities and everyone can find a place to fit in and excel.... Read 498 reviews

Parent: Our daughter goes to the Pre-Nursery program for 2 year olds (the description on this Niche site says that Preschool program starts at age 4 - not correct) and she is thriving. She is able to recognize letters and count, and loves her music class. There's library session once a week, and very well thought out learning modules.
