Senior: I am currently a senior at Tesla STEM High School and will have spent all four years here. I love this school for several reasons. The small class size makes you feel at home and forms a strong communal bond. In addition, there are so many opportunities available at this school. Through STEM, I have competed in clubs at the national level, interned at Fortune 500 companies, and had the opportunity to publish my research. I will say though, this is a very competitive school, which can be detrimental to one's mental health. However, this competitive nature drives students to be better and to be smarter. The several AP and Honors classes available to our disposal are both interesting and engaging. In addition, the teachers are phenomenal! They are always available for additional support and help. Senior: As a rising senior, I know that my education at ICS has shaped me into the person I am. From 6th grade to the present, ICS has continued to challenge and engage me with its rigorous coursework (all honors classes). Each year builds upon what I have learned in the previous years, which has allowed me to excel in my classes. The teachers are amazing and dedicated to what they do. Although I may have missed out on some of the larger social aspects associated with a larger school, the small community at ICS is fun to be a part of, as you get to know everyone on an individual basis, including teachers, fellow students, and underclassman over the course of 6 years. There are lots of opportunities for mentorship and leadership with the clubs and activities here as well. Junior: Redmond High School is a very big and energetic school. This applies to the size of the school, amount of students, and amount of opportunities this school provides. The vast campus holds many unique personalities, passions, and opportunities. Around every corner, you can bump into many unique and new people. With a student population of 2,100 and a 3-wing, 2 floor campus, there are endless possibilities for new encounters, finding new passions, finding new hobbies, etc. Redmond High School puts the students' mental and physical health at the forefront, helping them enjoy school while learning useful knowledge.... Middle School Student: Words cannot describe how much I loved this school. Having gone to 3 other elementary schools (the last one definitely not being my favorite), it was a big relief for me having attended this school in my last year of elementary. I can definitely see why they're rated the best public elementary school in Washington...they really live up to their fame. There's a lot of good diversity, the students are super nice and friendly, the teachers are so helpful, and the staff is just so kind. Only thing I'd change would be the separation of Quest (Gifted) and GenEd (general education.) Having been a Quest student myself, I can definitely tell you that while socializing, Questies hang out with mostly other Questies and vice versa. In fact, I don't think I had even one GenEd friend the whole school year. Overall this is such an amazing school. I definitely recommend it, and it's tied for my favorite elementary school I went to (which is surprising since I went to top-rated schools a lot.)... Read 1 review

Middle School Student: Renaissance is a phenomenal school, and the connections I made will stay with me for the rest of my life. Classes are small, 32 kids a grade, so kids make friends very easily and get to know everyone in the school. The teachers are warm and inviting, helping out students that are having trouble in classes, and joking around with students. The art program is amazing, with students doing mosaics, water color, pastels, and learning about the color wheel and drawing techniques. The performing arts program is also great, with the first semester being focused on dance, and the second on acting. RSAR is the best school I've been to, and I've met my best friends there.... Parent: We love Discovery Community! The kids have the same teacher for 2 years and a mixed age classroom so everyone in the school gets to know each other. The high parent involvement really benefits the children - they get amazing field trips, Friday Specials (where parents teach kids things like photography, yoga, dance, chess, etc.), events like spring camp and talent shows to name a few. It really does feel like a community where everyone supports each other. The 3 teachers are all absolutely phenomenal and really care for the kids. My child is thriving here!... Read 1 review

Parent: We have been with Emerson K-12 for many years, 3 kids from middle school to 10th G with no problem transitioning to running start. Great staff, excellent teachers. I highly recommend it, a great compliment to homeschooling. If your kid is self-disciplined and well organized he should have no problem studying there. Senior: Lake Washington Technical Academy offers FREE college classes to students under the age of 21. I was able to join the Lake Washington Technical Academy at age 16. Through this school, I am able to earn an associates in biology and a high school diploma by age 18. I love Lake Washington Technical Academy because they have so many resources on campus to help students succeed. There are two different tutoring centers available on campus and both tutoring centers are completely free. Almost all of my teachers are also available several times a week outside of class. I hope other places also adopt a similar program to Lake Washington Technical Academy because the program enables students to earn an Free associates degree.... Read 15 reviews

Middle School Student: Timberline Middle School is a very good school. It is entering its third year. During its first and second years as a school, Coronavirus was raging. Timberline did not do a very good job of providing an education for its students during the first year of the pandemic and was mediocre in the second year of the pandemic.
