Senior: The teachers at Dsst: Byers High School become close friends/family. I love that my teachers cared for each and one of my classmates, and took the time to know us personally. This type of relationship is great, since it makes it easier to ask for help and better advocate for yourself. To add on, there are many options for classes to take in order for each student to be challenged at a reasonable level. There are many activities and extracurriculars to join, and even opportunities to start your own club! Here at Byers inclusivity and respect are highly encouraged, there are many affinity/cultural clubs open to the whole student body. Parent: The Girls Athletic Leadership School is amazing place! Middle school is such a pivot point for girls, and GALS provides their students with everything they need to succeed, to build solid friendship, and to value their individuality. The academics are rigorous, but the GALS series is the secret sauce. It's a three year course designed to make students "more aware of their individual and community identity, the skills to navigate through challenges and decisions successfully, and empowerment to drive them." Senior: Denver School of Innovation and Sustainable Design changed my life, for the good. It provided me with a multitude of resources that helped me prepare for college. I graduated with three college credits; more than most students I know who went to a traditional high school. The teachers build relationships with every student that walks in their classroom. I enjoyed every single one of my classes. Although the school doesn’t provide many extracurricular activities it makes up for it by having such an amazing environment. Senior: My experience was Victory Prep Academy was one I will remember for the rest of my life! The teachers as well as the students are the most kind and understanding people. There was never a time I felt disrespected or unsafe. Everyone in that building is like a family and there isn't another high school I would have preferred to go to. Although there isn't a variety of sports and outside activities at VPA, I did my part and went to all the games I was able to show my school spirit that way. The best part about my high school is that its a very small school and I was surrounded by classmates I have known since first grade. Senior: DSST: College View High School is a school located in Denver, Colorado next to Loretto Heights. Our school building is also shared by the middle school, which is convenient for the majority of students. Although parking is scarce and our cafeteria is a few walking distances away from our main building, our school has overall shown dedication towards college success by administering organized internship and senior project classes that are college requirements. On top of this, our school is ranked as having the most FAFSA filled applications in our network, the most diverse amount of clubs in our network, and many applications submitted for the seal of biliteracy. Many staff members I met, have said that this school has a perfect and healthy environment that all students can strive in. Niche User: Our family's experience with Ruby Hill has been nothing short of wonderful. We have been with Strive Prep since they opened the Ruby Hill campus, and are so glad we were able to enroll here. The teachers are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The school and family relationship that we have built over the years has truly been a great experience. Our student has been able to keep himself motivated throughout the years, and sees himself going to and finishing a college degree. Parent: RMSEL is an incredible school. We have had kids in the school for a decade and they are all thriving. Being a smaller school there are fewer clubs/activities than at larger schools, and the sports programs are limited, yet they still have options. I'd like to see a better music program with continuity in the teaching as well as a greater emphasis on arts as creativity is the foundation of problem solving. The expeditionary, real–life learning environment is second–to–none and my kids are learning valuable skills that go way beyond the classroom. I highly recommend RMSEL. Administration and leadership are always working toward a better environment and experience for the students.
