Parent: We've been here for a few years now. I have been extremely impressed with the teaching. We attended a private French immersion school before this, and I think that academically speaking, this is very similar in terms of the teaching and curriculum, only it's free! I'd also say the student/family community is very warm and diverse in every sense of the word. So we're very glad we made the switch. Senior: The teachers are incredibly invested in student success. Very small school, so you get close to your classmates and teachers. EBIA is hands-on and STEAM-based and has a college preparatory curriculum. The only reason it's getting a four-star and not a five is because they don't have any sports teams and the school events are limited. High School Junior: This school really effected my life. It made me go through the struggles that I actually needed to go through to improve. It made me think nothing is too hard to achieve ! Senior: Lighthouse is a great school for low income and minorities to come and get a decent learning experience because the teachers are caring of the students understanding more than how much work is complete. The school also helps students learn to make a community within the classrooms and assist each other out. It does have less resources and certain students do push back lessons but overall, it is a great school to have teachers who actually care for the students and wish for them to succeed.... Senior: My experience with latitude is alright because it is one of the newer schools but it does have some flaws. I think it is one of the newer schools that holds it back as of right now because they don't have any major sports, any AP classes, or even many opportunities to choose classes. Senior: I came to COVAH after having been homeschooled since Kindergarten. My overall academic experience has been exceptional. I excelled in all my courses and my peers did provide a genuine support group. However, socially, my growth has been stunted. Typical high school experiences such as prom, homecoming, and field trips have been missed. I became extremely wanting at periods and alone. My administration has not always been helpful or supportive due to a lack of resources and variety. I had to grow up fast and become independent which has its pros, but I often wondered if it really was too much to ask for the livelihood witnessed in TV shows and movies. I rate my school very good because I made an honest group of friends. The size of the school helped me thrive academically because I could get one-on-one attention.
