Alum: I graduated from West High in 2019. The academics provided here are excellent. They have a large amount of AP, IB, and college courses from SLCC that I took part in and found challenging but it prepared me for my transition into college. I am also very proud of the diversity at this school. We represent so many cultures and take pride in all of them. I also loved my teachers here. They were so good at their job and taught students of all ranges very well, they also understood the students and made learning fun. The clubs at this school should definitely not be looked passed. There is literally a club for everyone! From gamer kids to ocean conservationists you can find a club that represents what you’re all about. This school is a very large school population wise so it’s hard to get to know everyone, however, even if someone doesn’t know you they still stick up for you. Because a panther never stands alone! Alum: I enjoyed my time at Innovations! This was a great school that allowed me to get a headstart on college, and prepared me well for the school I am now attending. I was able to take courses at an actual college while in high school, which gave me a sense of my limits, and what college would truly be like. The teachers here are amazing, and were a fantastic support system throughout my four years there. They know how to connect with students and always helped students learn in their own way, rather than just forcing them to remember for a test. The school doesn't have very many clubs, sports, etc. due to it being a small school. However, you do have the option to participate in activities at your boundary school, and in my experience, this works well. My experience at Innovations was great, and I would recommend it, especially to people who are self-motivated, who would like to have a better sense of college readiness, and who are looking for a supportive educational community.... Alum: East High was all about making students feel accomplished. Their main goal was ensuring as many of their students as possible succeeded in life. Every staff I came into contact with was incredibly passionate about helping me get into college. Whether that be through staying late after to class to clarify assignments, meeting one on one with students to give additional help and advice, and even a free tutoring service, East High was very involved in student success. Additionally, to wanting their students to succeed academically, there were many available options to feel fulfilled in other areas. Examples would be yoga, ceramics, and intensive theatre classes. But in addition to arts, they had excellent and diverse sports programs that promoted student health, allowing anyone to get involved who wanted to! Alum: My experience with Bryant Middle School was very good. I’ve made many great experiences there especially during seventh grade. The teachers there care a lot about their students and want to see them succeed. Something I would change is the safety there. It is open to all, including those with weapons. Junior: Cyprus isn't a well known school. The people may start a lot of drama, but one thing that makes the school of Pirates a great place are the teachers. They build so much trust with you, and they talk to you not just as a student, but as a person. One thing that I look forward to everyday is seeing the teachers. They are easy to talk to, and listen as if they are your friends. Another thing that is great about Cyprus; they have amazing counselors who always know how to help out students. They are involved in trying to open up opportunities for all of the students in the school. The sport opportunities are great also, except for the fact that it can be insanely expensive and difficult to be in. Cyprus is the kind of school that has student body who are basically the hype men/women of the school. They will try their best to make you feel pumped up! Niche User: I would recommend this school to all students who are sure what career field they are interested in. For instance, I was intrigued with the medical field so I started off with medical terminology and fell in love with it. The teachers are amazing and they do their best to help you pass the class. In this school, I took the following classes: medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical assisting. If it wasn't for the three inspiring and caring teachers I had then I would not be where I am today, working for general surgeons as a medical assistant.
