Sophomore: Walnut Hills Highschool is a great place to learn and thrive. It is known for its outstanding academic scores as well as it's diversity. The students and staff are wonderful and very welcoming, and it feels like a 2nd home. Although there are some problems, students often disagree and that leads to fights . Also, many students feel like their mental health is being neglected, since there are not very many resources they can access. I would definitely love to see more resources become available so that the students of the school feel safe and seen! Alum: I appreciated my opportunity to specifically study the arts while I was there. I was in the creative writing department, which had staff turnover while I was there that made it significantly more difficult. Too much funding was spent on the performing arts while the performing arts got left in the dust pretty frequently. We weren't even allowed poetry nights, and any creative writing events that happened were through the playwriting class to allow the Acting department's drama ensemble perform their pieces.... Alum: Clark Montessori is one of few Montessori middle and high schools .It goes from 7-12th grade. I loved the school because of the sense of community that the students grow to overt heir years there. I loved the small class sizes, it allowed more help from teachers and improved my academics. I participated in three sports, the teams are not that large because of the number of students there but they do okay. The school preps students for college and practices for college admission tests. Some experiments that I left Clark with include a 8th grade trip to Andros island Bahamas and intercessions. Intercession are in fall and spring where you have experiences outside the classroom. Mandatory fall intercessions include career planning, college tours, and ,lifeskill. some choices for fall intercession include rockets and rollercoasters , farm school, Washington D.C, Underground railroad, Greece trip and more. Works Here: Gamble High School has gone through many changes in the past 4-5 years. The culture and staff have done their best to still keep the Montessori values. They now have a larger school that allows for more classroom space and have grown to the point where all of the rooms have full time classes in them! Alum: My experience at Gilbert A Dater highschool were really important to me because the people I got to meet during my time there were the best people I could’ve met. I got to learn more languages because of the diversity in the school.My favorite parts were when I could play sports, I played volleyball, soccer, and softball. I can’t say I had bad experiences because I enjoyed finishing my work and then playing sports after school. Sports were a very important time during my years at school. The people that I met at school during my second year there are still my best friends and close adults I still talk with. Senior: My experience at Western Hills High School was really good, and I think it was because of a few different reasons. Firstly, I had some amazing teachers who were really supportive and helped me to do well in my classes. I also made some great friends who shared my interests, and I got involved in things like sports and music which helped me to develop new skills. But most of all, I loved the culture and community at the school - it was really welcoming and inclusive, and I always felt like I could be myself there.
