Oak Harbor High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Ottawa County
- Benton Carroll Salem Local School District, OH
- Rating 3.7 out of 5 79 reviews
Senior: We went 5 days a week and mostly everything was normal with covid at its height. Our district wore masks and socially distanced but our school year was mostly normal. Sports had to change slightly but we still did great in every aspect. However, with all this good we found bad. There were many instances with students being racist or overall very misinformed. The election was in the middle of the year and definitely tore a wedge between all of us. The school became political. Overall, the year wasn’t the worst with the circumstances we were given. I still had fun and made many new friends.

Woodmore High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Ottawa County
- Woodmore Local School District, OH
- Rating 3.57 out of 5 56 reviews
Senior: I moved here sophomore year, it was hard to make friends, its very small and there are cliques that made it hard. If you do something or tell someone something don't be surprised if you get mad fun of for it or everyone knows. People here are fake by that it means dont be surprised if they tell another person about something you did. The teachers are very friendly and nice, there is good guidance counselors that help a lot. The school is very straight forward if there is a problem, which is great.

Genoa Area High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Ottawa County
- Genoa Area Local School District, OH
- Rating 4.23 out of 5 30 reviews
Senior: Genoa High School is a very good school with things to offer for its students. The teachers here are excellent and are always willing to help you. There also personal and can make a connection with you. Our sports teams and clubs are pretty great as well. Our football, cross country, and wrestling teams do amazing when it comes to championships. Everyone enjoys the sports that they do and do well in them. Our school performs great plays and musicals. We hold one play through our drama club and one musical and they always do amazing. Our school rewards grades as well. Students get a reward at the end of each quarter if they have received honor roll, there is a top twenty banquet, and a varsity letter for academics. It is a nice school district but there is no air conditioning in the high school and sometimes programs involving the arts do not get as much funding as the sports since there is more sports teams than art clubs. Other than these little things our school runs very well!

- Rating 3.68 out of 5 28 reviews
Senior: I have went to Port Clinton schools my whole life, as my high school career is coming to an end I would like to reflect on my experiences at Port Clinton High School. Personally, I have had nothing but great experiences while attending this high school. The teachers are very caring and want you to succeed and are always going above and beyond their pay-grade. There are numerous courses that are offered here compared to the basic math, language arts, and science classes. Along with several several courses, there are multiple clubs you can join as well based on your personal interests. These past few years my high school has focused primarily on creating a great culture within our district and it truly has changed for the better. Overall, there is everything you need at Port Clinton High School to help you excel in life and help you prepare for your future!
