Parent: As a parent, finding a good middle school was one of my top priorities, when I toured Boston prep I felt great. They make sure the phones are in a case that locks during class hours and they are not allowed to use it until after school, I have met some amazing staff that have my child's best interests. The uniforms allows for my child to focus on school instead of who is wearing what. She got honor roll throughout 6th grade. One thing i would like improved is the communication with the parents, they seem to communicate more with the students to give them more independence but some teachers and staff forget that they are still children coming in from elementary school.... Junior: Neighborhood House Charter School, also known as NHCS, is a very great school in the Fields Corner area of Boston. The teachers are kind, helpful and very friendly towards the students. Students are kind and friendly to eachother, which created a welcoming environment. Although it is a very small school, everyone has a big heart for one another. There are strict dress codes but not too strict as you may think, you are able to wear shoes of your choosing everyday and you are able to carry around your phone freely. NHCS is teaching students to be responsible and to be grown. They go hard on your academics but it is definitely worth it. The food here isn't the best but that doesn't really matter when you are hanging out with your friends having a great time. I definitely recommend NHCS!... Read 7 reviews

Parent: I love the school. My daughter started fifth grade this past year and I got nothing but positive support and a wonderful welcome from all of the staff. The support staff is wonderful, and the office staff is good. All of the teachers are really dedicated to helping the kids learn in different ways. I am so happy I found this school and that she can continue onto 6th grade next year. Senior: My name is Danicka Theodore and I am a Senior at new heights charter school. I have been going to new heights charter school since it was built in 2016. I was chosen from the lottery and began to attend this brand-new school. I was part of New Heights' first ever 6th-grade class. I have now been attending for 7 years. The NHCSB has such a close-knit community. Most of the teachers and staff have watched me grow up. Because of its amazing teacher-to-student ratio, I have developed amazing relationships with my teacher and administrators. NHSCB offers the best quality education and the opportunities of a lifetime. While In high school, I took dual enrolment classes and I will now graduate with my associate's degree. Though New Heights is perfect to me I wish that it had a more developed sports program. Many athletically talented students have left NHCSB due to their lack of sports opportunities.
