Santa Rosa Academy
#553 Best Public Middle Schools in California
- Public School
- Menifee, CA
- Rating 3.98 out of 5 114 reviews
Junior: Santa Rosa Academy is a charter school that is not exactly like a school where everyone is excited and decides to go to the school dance, football game, or decide to put face paint across their faces. Here, we were raised together as a family. There are no cliques, outsiders, drama (very few). Many schools try to demonstrate school spirit to bring encouragement, enlightenment, love, and acceptance by sponsoring clubs, dances, food, bands, and other resources. However, our school doesn't need to put attention to such because of the influence and teachings of others and character, the lessons we've learned as a whole through education, and our determination to withstand and uphold. My school's drive is to continue to persevere, remain humane, build the future (the youth), and prepare them for life. At this day in age of which students are easily tempted and lazy, do things their age should not, and make wrong choices, I think our school is doing an excellent job compared to the rest.

Hans Christensen Middle School
- Menifee Union Elementary School District, CA
- Rating 4.67 out of 5 3 reviews
Junior: This is a pretty average middle school. They had a change in principles when I was there and a lot of new teachers. Many of the teachers cared and supported clubs like math science Olympiad but many we’re just there for the pay check. Food was alright, not much diversity among students and the structure makes it look and feel like a prison. Overall not terrible but not anything great.

Lakeside Middle School
- Val Verde Unified School District, CA
- Rating 4 out of 5 1 review
Middle School Student: Lakeside Middle School was a school where I grew the most, where I learned so many new things and where I seemed to be able to mature so much. My experience in the school was amazing . I did have my ups and downs in this school but I achieved getting out with amazing memories. Something I loved so much about the school was how the teachers really took the time to help you and give you all their time and effort to help you unlike when you get to high school only some teachers take their time to help you succeed.

California Military Institute
- Perris Union High School District, CA
- Rating 3.53 out of 5 149 reviews
Senior: I've attended California Military Institute since I was in 5th grade and I graduated from there. There were some years when I wanted to move to a different school and experience a regular high school but I'm glad I didn't leave because there came some benefits to it. Our class of 2020 was about 120 students, that's so little compared to other school with 500 students in each class. I liked how small our school was because it felt like a family, everyone knew each other or knew of each other. Even with teachers we were close to, our staff and administrators always had a positive attitude.

Ethan A. Chase Middle School
- Romoland Elementary School District, CA
- Rating 3 out of 5 10 reviews
Parent: Feels like home, I love it and so do my children. Very diverse school and the students are 1 to 1 with technology devices to help accelerate learning. The campus is really big and the class sizes are small so my child gets great individualized instruction.
