Senior: My junior year was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat! Studios and instruction you’d expect at a private art college are accessible here all just within a few steps from one another, especially as a visual artist, where I was exposed to ceramics, metals, printmaking, drawing, painting, animation, graphic design, sculpture, and many more. I believe that although some experiences may have been altered due to the COVID pandemic, there was plenty to do in the studios, and I was encouraged to explore in ways that would benefit my artwork regardless of the pandemics limitations. Likewise with how collaborative work was used in art studios, academic classes equally engaged the entirety of the classroom, despite how some of the content was particularly challenging. One element to this school that would improve it is an effort to increase an outreach to more diverse communities, as we need many kinds of individuals welcomed and informed of the school....
