Heim Middle School
#46 Best Public Middle Schools in New York
- Williamsville Central School District, NY
Alum: Heim Middle School is in one of the best school districts in the area. It is also in one of the safest towns in the country. The teachers are excellent and enthusiastic. There are many academic opportunities including advanced classes, clubs, and activities. From what I remember the food was average middle school food - much room for improvement. But overall it is a great school!

Green Meadow Waldorf School
- Private School
- Chestnut Ridge, NY
- PK, K-12
Senior: Throughout my time at GM, I felt challenged by academics while supported by the teachers. It truly is a unique place where each person is treated as an individual with goals and passions that will propel them into the world. The block system allows students to delve deeply into topics and think critically about each subject. However, there could still be improvements made outside the classroom. Although there are many clubs, there is sometimes little incentive to be in some of them. Socially, it can also be hard to find friends in such a small, close-knit community. That being said, once you do find friends, they are truly there for you.

Amherst Middle School
#193 Best Public Middle Schools in New York
- Amherst Central School District, NY
Middle School Student: Caring teachers, fun and encouraging community. Most kids are privileged & will complain a lot, but the school is very clean, safe, with helpful staff! The downsides in this school are that it's hard to get into Honors in 8th grade, and the diversity is bad. Everyone is white, those who aren't stick together, although everyone is nice to each other. Little to no bullying. Lunch is okay, there's not much of a variety for vegetarians & kosher eating people, because you'll get stuck with a PB&J sandwich every day. Drugs are very prevelant, mainly in the HS but it carries on to the middle school. This review makes Amherst seem bad, but it's truthfully one of the best schools in WNY. This just covers it all.
