Alum: Definitely a great school, most teachers are very nice and very friendly, the rest are friendly too unless you didn't pay attention or follow their rules. Not much preparation for the SHSAT, but surely enough preparation for state tests to get in great high schools. If you want to get into specialized high schools, I recommend you take other tutors and courses outside of school. I went to a normal class and most students got in Fort Hamilton and New Utrecht, the rest got in better schools like Midwood, Goldstein etc.. For students, it really depends. Most of them are friendly but some of them have some mental problems. Depends if you are lucky or not to get into a class with great classmates. Otherwise, if some conflict happens, teachers will arrange either you or the person you had conflict with to another class. Still, the atmosphere is great there and most teachers are pretty chill....
