Senior: JDHS has a lot of diversity and students in college preparatory, honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB) classes. These courses vary in rigor but the teachers remain phenomenal in every class. Recently they added a middle school opened which is a great opportunity to experience the IB curriculum prior to high school. Even if JDHS isn’t the high school for you, the middle school is one of the best schools around. Without having to chose a major- students experience a design class with hands on building and creativity (also available in high school), a performing arts class where students deliver monologues and develop confidence, and last but not least an art class where students experiment with different mediums. While there is an excellent curriculum, it encourages students to have freedom in developing passions while engaging the curriculum. As someone who had an chance to attend a highly competitive charter school, I am happy I chose to stay at JDHS.... Read 62 reviews
