Alum: My time at Basis was so incredibly valuable. The curriculum is academically-focused, which really helped me understand how important education really is. But I never would've survived the rigorous work if our teachers weren't as good as they'd been; I have many fond memories of them encouraging us to work hard, while also acknowledging the difficulty of balancing the work with the stress of being a teenager. They were always very supportive, and it was obvious from their lectures that they truly loved what they taught; I believe that that infectious passion was what made me strive to keep improving my skills, I believe that those are the best kinds of teachers you could have in schools. The atmosphere with other students was also very lax and I barely remember any real conflict; it was and is a very diverse school, it felt like every student had a unique viewpoint and background, but not once did I feel like my or someone else's views were disrespected.

Alum: I liked how the school got everyone involved. We had good teachers and kind students. When I attended the school was being rebuilt and transformed into a beautiful campus. You get to be involved in the school in so many ways. We had people who were in band, choir, art, sports, editing/ photoshop, and so much more. Overall it was a relatively good middle school.
