Freshman: Kelly Lane provided a clean and functional environment, almost like a well oiled machine. Every day I walked in and found myself surrounded by many friendly faculty members that supported me each and every day. This allowed myself and many others to excel in each fields we decided to delve deeper into and dedicate our time to. All in all, Kelly Lane Middle School is a wonderful campus with great faculty that helps the students discover and take on their future goals.

Murchison Middle School
290 Best Public Middle Schools in Texas
- Austin Independent School District, TX
Alum: Murchison is definitely a unique school. The education is enriching and thoroughly prepares students for high school and beyond. There are many clubs and communities to be involved in. The only issue I could find here is the overbearing enforcements at student events. It feels as if the students are not able to act in ways they would like to. For example, students are asked to dance a certain way at student dances.

St. Stephen's Episcopal School
- Private School
- Austin, TX
Alum: I loved my time at St. Stephen's. The teachers are exceptional and the lack of AP classes means that they don't just teach to the exams but what is most interesting to them -- which usually translates into much more interesting class time! I felt like I was more prepared than most of my college peers (at an elite school nonetheless!) -- my writing was better, I was better at time-management. The only thing I would change is that at the time the student body was not especially active in clubs/non-sport activities, however I think this is slowly changing.
