Senior: The 7 years I have been at RMSEL I have felt incredibly safe and welcome in the unique environment RMSEL has. It's fills a niche that I love. While it doesn't offer AP or IB, it has CE and a lot of opportunities you wouldn't get otherwise (but since RMSEL is so small, if you ask/advocate for certain things you can most likely make them happen), like Internship/SLE (Senior Leaning Experience), and the trips! I've been snowshoeing, rafting, rock-climbing, waking up at 4am to see wolves, and hiking 40+ miles on the CT all because of this school. But it has its downsides, some people don't like small classes, staff turnover is high (except Dinkel), and communication between students and admin is not optimal (but has gotten better). RMSEL itself doesn't have sports outside of middle school, but in high school you are able to play sports for other schools (GW, TJ, South). There's a lot I've probably missed not going to a normal high school, but I think RMSEL has made up 10x in experience!... Read 28 reviews
