Alum: Great layout. Used to be an elementary, middle, and high school, but is now just a middle school, meaning it definitely isn’t too small! Challenging courses, and many creative electives. However, they didn’t really prepare me for college mentally. Junior: Notasulga High School is small K-12 school in a very rural town in Alabama. I often wish we had funds and school buildings in neighboring schools. The teachers are great and they have a close relationship with all students because everyone knows everyone because it is a small school. I wish we had more technology access and an updgraded gym. Senior: I loved Autaugaville School I've been there since I was in Kindergarten. I loved every bit of it. I learned a lot of things over the years. what I would love to see change because I feel like every school needs a little change even if you have a perfect school. Things that I would like to see change is the people and the support that people can bring to the table. Autaugaville is a very small school we need all the support we can get from the community. the only time we really see the community is only on Homecoming games and Homecoming. I think that if we have all the support we need we can be bigger and better. since our school is so small and we don't have a lot of students and teachers we need more support. if our community can come out during football season and Homecoming they need to come out when we have clean up day or Meet the Eagles. or something like that. we just need more support.... Alum: At Johnnie R. Carr Middle school, I was apart of the magnet program, so I can only really speak for that portion of the school. I did feel challenged both academically and socially at the school. It opened me to a world of academic prowess that I was not previously exposed to. Socially, it introduced me to different cultures and ideas that I had not previously known but allowed me the opportunity and mindset to easily accept them. However, Johnnie R. Carr was not perfect. I would like to see the level of student engagement in the classes increase. I am not sure what it is like now, for I have been in high school for three years now, but when I was there, the classes were not as engaging as I would have liked. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Johnnie Carr and believe that it can be a great school to learn about topics outside of your everyday environment.... Read 11 reviews
