Tower Heights Middle School
#6 Best Public Middle Schools in Dayton Area
- Centerville City School District, OH
Freshman: I’m at the end of my 8th grade year at Tower Heights and I know everything about the school now. I can tell you that teachers are overall great but that the older the kids get the less that teachers can control them, also many kids get into bad things and aren’t disiplined enough. The school is pretty old, half the bathroom locks are broken and my mom went to the school. Most of the classrooms don’t have doors or windows on them and our principle is super nice but the secretary’s aren’t. However, if school is important to ANY kid, then they can easily sucseed and get the help they need, however, if they don’t it will become very obvious over these 3 years. Also the councilor is amazing and if u ever need help with anything he WILL help ANY student as long as u tell him u need to talk to him, it’s painless I promise.

Alum: Very challenging yet super fun for growing teens. Helps prepare students for what the high school feels like. Many after-school activities and plenty of school clubs, sports, and extracurriculars. Could work on trying to make everyone all friends together, but that's just my opinion

Roanoke Catholic School

Alum: I attended RCS since 5th grade, and absolutely loved it. This school provides an excellent college prep education while being centered on Catholic teaching. The teachers deeply care for their students, and definitely push them to be better students, but also better people. Theology classes certainly teach the beliefs of the Church but also allow for questions and discussion about the Catholic faith, which gives students the opportunity to own their faith rather than know about their faith. I would highly recommend this school to any family interested in a high quality, holistically minded, education.

Parent: Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!
