Niche User: This school thrives to challenge you at there most and everyone on staff are all outstanding teachers. If I had to pick a school to go to when I was entering as a freshmen in my high school year I would pick Blue Mountain. Senior: My middle school experience was fairly uneventful and standard, but maybe that's how school should be. It was a good school to attend and many basic foundations were taught there that would then be expanded upon once entering the high school. It was rudimentary, but rather useful and necessary...If I had to list any complaints, it would be of one specific teacher (who shall not be named) who was almost constantly in a miserable, unfriendly state towards nearly every student. I was in an accelerated class with all well-behaved intellectual students, yet we were still treated like delinquents. Alum: Gillingham is an amazing place overall! It is intentionally small with a huge focus on community building. Art, music, sports, and nature study are required,. Their special ed programs show great respect for students. The teaching style is a progression toward critical thinking skills...It isn't, paradise, but I'm glad I went.

Parent: My experience with MKES has gone back to the mid 1980's. I went to school there from kindergarten to sixth grade, and I loved it! The teachers were great. It was a great experience as an elementary school. My children now go there and it has only gotten better. The staff is great! They know the children on first name basis. They take the time to get to know them. The school now serves from k-8th grades, there has been a lot of updates to the school that have just added to its potential. I think it the best in the Hazleton Area School District...
