Alum: I loved EATS! The teachers were all exceptional and encouraged all the students to learn in their own way. The education was very good here and the sense of community within the school really made it an enriching experience. The admin was fantastic when I was there and they knew a majority of the students by name.

Alum: I had the most unique, positive, and life-changing middle school experience. I moved into the quaint town of Califon when I was going into 5th grade, and graduated with 10 other kids in 2018. Since the school is so small, I was truly able to develop a family-like bond with my classmates. The teachers were not only my mentors but my friends. Whoever said that small schools don't provide opportunity? I was able to join Debate-Club, Reading Olympics, theater, cheerleading, student council, walking school buses and so much more! Since there aren't any tryouts for activities, you have the opportunity to explore all your interests! Since Califon is such a safe town, they give the middle school students the opportunity to go home for lunch or walk to the general store to eat with friends. My parents often described Califon School as a remanence of their childhood, where they had freedom and 'good old fashioned fun.' I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to attend Califon!
