Parent: My family has been a member of the Douglas County School System for over 20 years now. All of our kids have either attended, currently attending or will attend Chapel Hill Middle School. The leadership and staff at the school are professional and make sure the needs of students, whether physically, socially or academically are met. Parent: I have been thoroughly impressed with Fairplay Middle School. My two oldest children have already gone through this school and my youngest started there this school year. She told me that "This has been the BEST school year EVER!"...and that is in a pandemic and sixth grade for a girl! That really means something. Parent: Mason Creek Middle School stands out above the rest of the middle schools in the county. MCMS is a school that depicts what the real world is all about. From their diverse population of students and staff to the rigor and expectations set from the top down in and out of the classroom. My favorite part of the school is the atmosphere that is created for students to achieve these expectations. Students know that the bar is set high, but they know as they are working towards meeting these expectations they have a team of people right beside them. This circle not only includes the classroom teacher, but the administrative staff, the clerical staff and the custodial team are with them in the trenches to help build them up and assist them with meeting the goal. Middle School Student: i like factory shoals because its fun and have tons of feild trips and clubs. but, i would like to change the food here it is awful and fake i am in the 7th grade and most of the kids here either brings lunch or doesn't eat at all and are starving for the rest of the day. i also hate the administartion they give us detention for no reason like even if you stand up.... Alum: I was at Youth Villages at Inner Harbour for approximately 5 months. I attended the independent school thinking I would graduate with my class in May of 2020. But my hard working guidance counselor and teacher found me to take all my core classes on a block schedule so I could graduate early and start my dream of college sooner. Youth Villages at Inner Harbour identifies as a private school in Douglasville, Georgia.
