Alum: I had a wonderful experience attending Rio High School. The benefits of a small rural school are many, I had excellent opportunities for involvement in both academics and sports. Participating in athletics was very important to me personally and due to the small school size, I was able to make the teams I was interested in playing on. The school district is working on making improvements to the Track.
The classes are small in size and teachers are super helpful. They are also offering some college prep courses. If you apply yourself there are many opportunities available. The Spanish Teacher has set up experiences for Spanish student to travel abroad.
One of the improvements that could be made at Rio High School would be to add a Drama Department for students interested in doing a theatrical production during their high school career.
Overall I would highly recommend Rio High School to any student who enjoys a close-knit educational experience.

Fall River High School

Senior: I liked a lot about going to Fall River. The teachers are very nice, and seem to care about how student's are doing in their classes. The building itself is nice, too and has had some renovations done over the summer. We also just had a referendum about our STEM programs and a new football field so that's pretty nice. Kids are pretty nice to each other, not a whole lot of apparent bullying. My only complaints would be the lunches and a lack of higher level classes. The lunches are ehhh, not terrible but not great either IMO. There aren't very many AP or IB classes, but that is to be expected being a smaller school and all. Oh and if you're looking for a diverse school, Fall River is not it which is again to be expected considering it's a small public school in Wisconsin.Overall a good school though.
