Senior: I love going to Onalaska High School The staff truly cares which is amazing. Since it is so small, we are all close and know each other very well. However, the people whos families have lived here their entire lives tend are the only ones who get certain privileges, such as scholarships from the school district.

Alum: Morton Junior/Senior High School was a positive experience overall. Academics and sports were very highly regarded and teacher and administrative support were omnipresent with little question that your needs could be met if the situation required it. Teachers were caring and compassionate with a deep affinity geared towards student success.
Opportunities for improvement would be the aged buildings and lack of funds to support advanced student achievement and extracurricular activities... but this is likely due to a struggling rural economy with limited community resources riding in on the coattails of a once booming logging industry.
That being said, the school district and school staff work hard to make up for any identified deficits through motivated fund raising and community engagement.
Think small town America with pancake breakfasts, friendly competitions and seasonal parades. This school felt safe to me.
