Senior: I started attending my sophomore year after moving from the south. My previous school had over 3,000 students enrolled, while Anacortes High School has less than 1,000. As a new student it can be hard to start getting involved as every one knows everyone. It can seem small sometimes as the town is small, but there are many benefits. The teachers and faculty know your name, and you will always recognize someone anywhere you go. All staff care about you as a student and as a person. Most people are involved in a variety of activities; most students enjoy both a sport and club. Our TigerHawk basketball game is looked forward to every year as well as homecoming week and spring activities. The community as a whole supports Anacortes High School students. Of course every school has its cons, and there are going to people you like or respect more than others, but my overall experience has been a positive one.

Alum: My experience as a 2016 laconner graduate was amazing, I loved how small the community was and how much everyone cared for eachother. The class we've had since we were young stayed together and became family like. It's so easy to be involved because they defiantly have the environment where anyone can "fit in". I can honestly say I miss High School and wish I was involved in even more activities than I already was.
