Silver Valley High School

Senior: Silver Valley High School is located in the remote desert town of Yermo, California. Its quite a small school with only some 380 students, and it shows with the mediocre level of after school clubs, college courses, and campus food. Although upon first sight it evokes groans and moans from incoming students (mainly military), Silver Valley sets itself apart from other schools with the sense of unity it creates. Unlike any other high school I've attended. Silver Valley feels like a family; students all know one another, administrators know each student by name, and the faculty does everything in their power to prepare their students for college. In that aspect, I'm very grateful for Silver Valley.

Senior: What I liked about Barstow high school the most was my avid class and the environment and staff. I really like how they would always try and get students involved in many things like Cubs and sports. The thing I would like to see most improved would be the way some of the staff handles certain situations like if they do not understand something they will tell you to look it up which is not something that should be said especially is your teaching the subject at that moment. But other than that It was a great experience at this high school.
