Junior: It is true that Aspen High School lacks diversity but I don’t think that can necessarily be a criticism on the school. A school is going to be where a school is no matter what the underlying diversity is. It just happens that Aspen is not very diverse due to the socio-economic gap that is only exasperated by American culture. The rich get richer and the trend is that white people are richer. I think that everyone regardless of race, gender, or class should have the same opportunities but that is not the case in America and that is exactly why Aspen is not diverse. So, Aspen High School is not diverse because of the economics of Aspen which SHOULD NOT be a criticism of just solely the school.

Junior: I love my school. There are fun school events in which everyone is included. It is a mix of education and gives the opportunity to have fun with those you know and meet new people. I have a lot of fun everyday and the best laughs. My teachers are amazing role models and also friends to me. I can trust them with anything and they know how to joke around. But, they are also amazing at teaching and assuring you understand the material. There is a lot of diversity but that doesn't stop us from including everyone and ensuring no one is left out. We probably aren't recognized for having the best sport teams, but our athletes put in the best effort and have fun as well. They offer many options to prepare us for college in school and after. The staff is always looking for our best interest and modify rules so that we can be safe on school grounds. Parents get involved in helping and it is a priority for the administration to allow all of the fun music and art electives, along with others.
