Senior: Going to George West High School will forever be memorable for me. Here in our community and school, we are one big family. We have top of the line resources, great facilities and great teachers. We have many organizations and outstanding UIL teams which never fall short of success. I know all of my teachers on a personal level, like most of our students, which makes learning easier and more fun. We always do hands- on activities and never fall short in meeting goals. Along with that, George West High School had many friendships to offer; I will hold on to these friendships in the years to come. Academically speaking, my high school has definitely prepared me for college and I am so eager to apply what I have learned here in college next year!

Skidmore-Tynan High School
#741 Best Public High Schools in Texas
- Skidmore-Tynan Independent School District, TX
- 74 reviews
Senior: Skidmore Tynan is a strong academic school with a great history of academic results. Skidmore is a town of under 1,000 people yet we are a AAA school competing with towns significantly bigger than us. This is because our administration continues to take in transfer students from surrounding towns. This would not be a problem if these students had good grades and participated in extracurillur activities but they don't. I understand what administration is trying to do but it is really affecting the students that have been at the school as competition level rises and resources and numbers of team members don't.
Besides, teachers are great relatable people that you can talk to and be comfortable around while still maintaining a studious environment.

Refugio High School
#851 Best Public High Schools in Texas
- Refugio Independent School District, TX
- 25 reviews
Senior: Refugio is one of the proudest schools I have ever been too. I love seeing my class support every grade, and how every teacher is willing to jump in and help every student. The academics and athletics are some of the best I know. During Hurricane Harvey the school opened its athletic facility to everyone who needed a place to stay. Our football boys stayed during the horrific storm and soon after rallied everyone in the town and lifted up everyone’s spirits. School pride is the absolute most amazing aspect of this school along with the clubs and sports we offer. I’m proud to be graduating as a Refugio Bobcat! GO CATS GO!

A.C. Jones High School

Junior: A.C. Jones High School has given me an amazing high school experience along with great memories. My fellow classmates of A.C. Jones have made my high school experience so much better. The BISD employees self less, caring, and supportive faculty. The faculty doesn't just teach their lesson plan they listen to the students and all the problems whether it be school related or at home. All staff members try their best to accompany any special needs of each student. A.C.J offers many opportunities that not all schools have the privilege to such as dual enrollment and the Barnhart Foundation Program. Both of these programs have aided me and my peers in furthering and advancing our education. The AP classes offered are held to a rigors standard and high expectations challenging each student to reach their full potential.
