Senior: I absolutely love how small our town is! Places like Mount Vernon are so personable and care so much about their students. Classes are engaging and enlightening, and there is so much encouragement to explore our creativity in the classroom. Education as well as extracurricular activities are so valued here, and I feel as though I am receiving the best education a small and loving town can possibly give.

Senior: As a current Como-Pickton senior, I can say the school has treated me well. I have attended the school since Pre-K and I have never once felt like my education was in jeopardy. This school is located in a very rural area, but I can say the community is one of the highlights of the school. With the new administration and programs set in place, they are looking to better our school and to keep continuing to produce well rounded students. As of recent, they are trying out the program called AVID. The way they have set it up, I believe that it will be a success. The only thing I would change, is the facilities. If it were possible, some of the building should be reconstructed so it can accommodate everyone. Currently about a third of the school is constructed of metal and not with bricks. I believe if they had the opportunity to reconstruct this, it will become a great learning experience for everyone.
