Valley Springs High School

Alum: Valley Springs High School is incredibly school for potentially great things to happen but lacks the necessary resources to achieve greatness. Academically ranking in the top schools in the state, it is the teachers and administrators as well as students that work hard for such high accolades. Unfortunately, because of the severe lack of resources, Valley Springs does not attract new student, nor does the community. The sense of community is outstanding, but only goes as far as its resources can take it, which isn't far enough. With a lack of potential for expansion, or rather an opposition to it, Valley Springs is a great school that will never be know for its outstanding facilities and unlimited resources.

Harrison High School
#59 Best Public High Schools in Arkansas

Sophomore: Overall, Harrison High School is a nice school to graduate in. It has classes that range widely in difficulty, so schedules can be very customizable to fit each student's needs. They offer many fine arts classes including Theatre I-IV, Art I-IV, three different choirs (including an honors choir), as well as a drama department that puts on at least two shows every year. They offer Spanish I-III, while other languages, such as French and German, are offered online. The school offers multiple AP courses in science, history, and possibly math (anticipating AP Calculus in the 2020-21 school year). On the other hand, vaping is very common in all bathrooms, fight break out somewhat often (once or twice a month), drug use on campus is somewhat common, and there are a select few teachers that students' should avoid if at all possible.

Sophomore: The staff is very accommodating, and try their very hardest to help you understand not only the education aspect, but the real life application behind the things they teach. They try their very hardest to keep everything in school positive, encouraging, and as simple as possible.
