Tri County Junior/Senior High School
#32 Best Public High Schools in Nebraska

Senior: I have been attending Tri County since 4th grade. Overall, the school is a great place. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the students, which is different compared to bigger schools. Academics are taken seriously at Tri County, and there are many students in the school that work hard to maintain high grades. The music department is very strong, and we're lucky to have such a great music department. Sports are taken seriously at Tri County. While not all of our teams are always great, all work super hard. Some years are the buildup years to great teams, which is natural. There are many activities for students to join. Tri County is also lucky to have an art department, as not many schools see the importance of art. The student body, for the most part, gets along well with each other. One of the few disadvantages of Tri County is the lack of diversity. That's only natural in a small school in the middle of agricultural Nebraska, though.

Diller-Odell Secondary School

Senior: Diller-Odell High School is a diamond in the rough. The teachers and administration create a positive learning environment that encourages all students to do their best and help them develop most skills required for college. To increase individual improvement, teachers work diligently with students to uphold excellent learning methods. The clubs, organizations, and sports associated with Diller-Odell are well known and supported throughout the two communities. In our 2019 season, the Griffins' volleyball season was near perfection ending with a 36-1 record concluded with a State Championship win. Student Council, FBLA, FFA, E.N.G.A.G.E., also present excellent records of student participation and activities that improve the school. During the 2019 summer, Diller-Odell built a brand new gymnasium worth nearly $5 million. It was a great improvement compared to the original 1959 gym and was much needed. After that improvement, the school is very up to date and needs very little change.

Freeman High School
#50 Best Public High Schools in Nebraska

Senior: I came to Freeman as a Junior and I felt welcomed by students and staff. The teachers really do what they can to help their students and Freeman makes sure to take care of its students as much as it can. Coming to Freeman was nice for me because it was less academically stressful and allowed me to be more involved in school activities. If I could change something, I would make it so the older students were given more freedoms and responsibilities. Also, I would include more options for lunches. Finally, I would institute some harder coursework for the students who need it.

Senior: My high school experience in Beatrice was so much fun! Friday Night Lights brings everyone together, and the schools atmosphere in general is very comforting. Everyone is so supportive of others and we all are able to take part in activities we love, which are all offered through the school. Beatrice is incomparable to any other surrounding school.
