Alum: My experience at Hoisington High School was great. I started attending my Junior year of High School. The teachers were a blast, and not only great at teaching, but great as role models. It is a somewhat small school that is perfect for having a closeness with friends, but also having plenty of opportunity to speak with your teachers. I wish more support and finances would have went towards the debate and forensics programs which were some of the schools most successful programs when I was there.

Senior: Larned Senior High School has been a blessing to me. I moved here mid-November. This was my first time being “the new kid”. All my nerves diminished once I met all the kind and supportive teachers, staff, and peers.
One thing I’d like to see different is a variety of new classes. I was disappointed to find Spanish 3 and 4 are not offered at Larned High School. I also think classes like Animal Science and Agriculture would be beneficial. One thing I particularly struggle with is math. I think it would benefit students, like me, to have an alternative algebra class to slow things down. Similar to the concept of Introduction to Chemistry.
I would recommend Larned Senior High School to anyone looking at schools in the area. It is an environment full of school spirit and positivity. The staff are beyond supportive and the students will guarantee the most exciting 4 years of your early life!

Sophomore: I like how some of the teachers are nice is nice and how easy it is to learn. I also love band. I think the only thing I would change is a little more food, but other than that I really like my school and I would not want to go to any other school.

Senior: Great bend high school is an amazing place! They are a very safe school; they keep doors locked for safety. They offer many resources for you if you miss school and have to make up for classes, for example advisory and pep after school. They provide you with your very own chrome book! You get to keep it when you graduate, which is an awsome graduation gift. They always have a clean and friendly environment. They offer many college credit classes and also fee waivers to help students out. One of my favorite things they have are study sessions during school (advisory) and after school. It helps the students that have to work right after school.

Senior: Ellinwood High School has been the best thing that has happened to me so far! Coming in as a freshman from a private school, I was so shy and scared of high school. However, all the kids welcomed me and even showed me where to go. The teachers here are absolutely amazing as well! They truly care about each student's success, and they often spend lots of their extra time helping students, learning their strengths and weaknesses, and even more. I am so grateful that I have been able to go to Ellinwood High school.
