Senior: I had a phenomenal experience at Carl Junction Highschool. There are so many ways for students to get involved, the teachers are incredibly supportive of their students, and after graduating a feel very prepared for college. If I had to change one thing it would be the strictness of little things such as having nine instead of eight people at a lunch table or being able to stand in the commons area before school instead of sit. Not allowing an extra person at a lunch table commonly resulted in one student having to move and feel left out from the group they were with and students should also not be forced to sit when arriving to school when they will be sitting for the next seven hours of the day. Overall, the experiences I had at Carl Junction High School are ones I will never forget.

Senior: Being able to be apart of the Neosho Wildcat Band Program has been the number one highlight of school for me. It has shaped my life and because of it I love music and being able to perform. I’ll continue to have music in my life for the rest of my life, and it’ll be an integral part of my life. Along with have so many different opportunities but also having the mentors that were the band teachers, made it to be an amazing experience. One of the bigger things is getting to meet friends and having those friendships have impacted my life and have shaped me to become better.

Seneca High School

Senior: In a few months Seneca high school will be my alma mater. I have really enjoyed the time spent learning here. The teachers truly care and there is always someone you can talk to when you need it. All my classes have taught me the knowledge that I will need to further my education when I advance to college. Every time there is an event that take place at the school that I attend, the gym, cafeteria, and bathroom are very clean and well kept up. I always hear great things about about the student and faculty from the community.

Junior: When I moved to Joplin back in December of 2019, I didn't know what to expect when I was going to start the second half of my junior year at Joplin High School. The one word that I can describe what I felt on my first day that I started at this school is "wow". I had never seen a more diverse school with so much acceptance in my entire life. There were so many welcoming and outgoing people that instantly made me feel at home with my new environment. I majorly improved with my academics and felt more "myself" at this school. I have told all of my friends back at my old school that Joplin is the place to be where they can be themselves and not be judged whatsoever. I am so glad that my mom moved us to Joplin because if I never would started at this school, my mental health would still be bad and I would not be that happy. I love the environment that this school has to offer!

Diamond High School

Senior: My last four years here at Diamond High haven't been too bad. The teachers from my freshman to junior year were absolutely amazing. They went over everything that would be on finals or EOCs. My senior year has been a little challenging because of one teacher but luckily I can take a dual credit class next semester to help with that. Some things I wish would've changed was the teacher-student respect. Teachers don't show their students respect and continually put them down on a daily basis. That's the only thing I wish would've changed in this school.
