Webb City High School
#60 Best Public High Schools in Missouri

Senior: Webb City High School has outstanding standards in secondary education. While the academics are far above the average, I would say that the priorities among the extracurricular activities are very skewed. Sports, especially football, are idolized among our district due to the reputation of their performance. As a result, the fine arts departments are heavily underfunded and disrespected. The administration and faculty attempt to make it seem as though the district is generous towards these departments when in reality there is an obvious bias at play. Along with these problems, the student body is also narrow-minded and discriminatory toward certain students. Bullying isn't necessarily a problem, but there is a lack of inclusion and respect towards students who are different or against their personal values. If you want a conservative, Christian school that isn't open-minded toward other people, then this is the school for you.

Carl Junction High School
#104 Best Public High Schools in Missouri
- Carl Junction R-I School District, MO
- 203 reviews
Senior: I had a phenomenal experience at Carl Junction Highschool. There are so many ways for students to get involved, the teachers are incredibly supportive of their students, and after graduating a feel very prepared for college. If I had to change one thing it would be the strictness of little things such as having nine instead of eight people at a lunch table or being able to stand in the commons area before school instead of sit. Not allowing an extra person at a lunch table commonly resulted in one student having to move and feel left out from the group they were with and students should also not be forced to sit when arriving to school when they will be sitting for the next seven hours of the day. Overall, the experiences I had at Carl Junction High School are ones I will never forget.

Senior: Lamar High School is great! For a small town they offer a lot! They have integrated college classes which is great for advance students. Lamar also has a wing of the school for vocational classes. There are many clubs and activities to be involved in. It being a small school, you know everyone in your class and the teachers are very approachable and always willing to help you succeed. Go tigers!

Senior: I had a great time in my four years here. You get to know everyone around you. The teachers know you on a first name basis. So if you need help on homework, you can ask for it or stay after school. It's a great school, with a home style atmosphere.
