Sherwood High School
#157 Best Public High Schools in Missouri
- Sherwood Cass R-VIII School District, MO
- 17 reviews
Freshman: At Sherwood, the ratio of students to teachers is low, which allows for a better, more personal learning experience. A variety of courses are offered to high school students to accommodate for a plethora of career options and to prepare them, not only for college education, but living as an adult in the modern world as well. Along with classes, students are able to participate in many different extracurricular activities, from Chess Club to the National Honors Society. In the classroom, you will find friendly and knowledgeable teachers who will go to great lengths to provide you with an academic adventure that is fun and educational.

Holden High School

Senior: I would like to see more groups at our school whether they are school affiliated or not. Our school should make these groups an option for students so they can better find a group to be with other than sports, music programs, and art clubs. Other than this my experience at Holden High School has been great and I have enjoyed my time here.

Crest Ridge High School
- Johnson County R-VII School District, MO

Senior: I have gone to Crest Ridge since I was in Kindergarten. I believe that this school is really good, but you have to take in consideration that it is a small school. It doesn't have all of the nice things larger schools have to offer. While not everything is amazing about this school, I have seen things change for the better. I am proud to say that Crest Ridge is making leaps and bounds on improving.

Odessa High School
- Odessa R-VII School District, MO
- 87 reviews
Senior: Odessa school district has been home for the past thirteen years. There is something for everyone whether that may be a sport or club. I believe teaching is so much more than standing in front of a class lecturing, it is also connecting with your students, teaching life lessons, and wanting to see them succeed. All of which are qualities our teachers acquire. Regarding college readiness, Odessa high school has two amazing counselors that are constantly running. They keep us up to date on scholarships and other important information. My only suggestion is that maybe there could be an optional semester class that is "life after high school". It would Intel tedious information from, you don't have to wait till you're a senior to fill out scholarships to individually laying out options if things don't go as planned. In conclusion, Odessa has everything that you can't force like a community that comes together as a family in times of need and happiness.
