Maroa-Forsyth Senior High School
#105 Best Public High Schools in Illinois

Alum: My experience at Maroa-Forsyth High School was pretty average I would say! I was very involved with playing three sports and being in choir. I loved being able to connect with my friend's by being involved and I felt as if I had good opportunities. Academically, I always felt challenged but it made me become a better student. I loved my teachers and they were very supportive when I lost my mother very young. The main change could possibly be adding more AP classes to allow for more challenges in the classroom.

Warrensburg-Latham High School

Alum: Warrensburg is a very strong community. The teachers care about their students and want to see them succeed. Since I've graduated, there have been more extracurricular activities and programs added to the school. The music and art program is amazing. This school may not have as many classes to choose from, for example the only language class is Spanish.

Argenta-Oreana High School

Alum: I have several good things to say about this Highschool. First the teachers for the most part are wonderful and make learning fun. Secondly, the sports programs are slowly gettng better and they feel like you are part of a family not just a team. Some cons about the school is that the way rules and such are enforced could change, and the administration, according to rumors when I was in school, loved to do things in a "shady" manner, but whose to say what is true or not. Overall this school was enjoyable and did prepare me/ helped me get into college and with a scholarship, so I cannot complain!

Sangamon Valley High School
- Sangamon Valley Community Unit School District No. 9, IL
- 20 reviews
Senior: Sangamon valley is a smaller school, and the teachers are very interactive with the students. They are always there before and after school to help with any questions. However, the school is not known for the best of things, including drugs, weapons, and even threats made by current students.

Eisenhower High School
- Decatur School District No. 61, IL

Alum: I enjoyed my high school experience here. By getting involved in lots of clubs and activities I had tons of spirit and connections. There is a big gap between regular and honors classes, meaning that students in the school often have a disparity between levels and it can be hard to get college ready. My Honors and AP courses got me as college-ready as they could. There are problems higher up in administration, I never felt completely supported by the officials outside of my school (The administration inside of the school is wonderful) and my parents never cared for the higher administrative officials either. Other than that, I was very happy all four years because I made the most out of what was offered to me. I was encouraged by all of my teachers, Eisenhower has some of the best to offer! Go Panthers!

Senior: I am a student attending MacArthur high school and have attended for all my four years. It has been an amazing experience since the start, I had a chance to meet new friends and get more involved in my school community. This school is included in the district 61 and ever since I was little I always remain in this district and the schools involved because they offer many opportunities that makes the kids more active and always a way to learn more.MacArthur high school is not just any school but also my home and to many other students I can say. .Once a general always a General! This school offered me an opportunity to go see what i really wanted to do in my life as a career and thanks to this school before I graduated school I knew what I wanted to do.
