Beecher City Junior/Senior High School

Senior: The community is amazing. The students are surrounded by people who want them to succeed. There is almost no bullying. Everyone knows that if they were to need someone to lean on, they have that. The students are very prepared when it comes to college and life outside of school. Jobs around the area actually are more likely to hire workers if they are from or are graduated from our school because they have complimented our students as being very hard and dedicated workers.
The faculty really does care about the students. They have their doors open when someone needs extra help, whether it's with school work or personal life. The students have a bad reputation due to decades ago, but the school isn't like that anymore. The students are ranked very high in school testing for our area. The students are very respectful. Personally, I get why people would choose to stay in the area when their kids are growing up and going to school.

Senior: Saint Elm Senior High school has a very tight knit community. Everyone knows everyone and the faculty are very kind and helpful. There's no such thing as a bad question and they are all upbeat. The highschool is kept clean and the cooks do their best with what they have to make us a good meal. If there is an issue the Guidance counselor is almost always avaliable during school hours. The motto, Respect Yourself, Respect Property, Be There, Be Ready, and Respect Yourself is good and bullying is minimal.

Cowden-Herrick Jr/Sr High School
- Cowden-Herrick Community Unit School District No. 3-A, IL

Senior: My experience with Cowden Herrick High School is one of indifference but also enjoyable. Both of my parents and most of my aunts and uncles have all gone here. So have most of my cousins. I feel like this is my home in a way because most of my family is here. The education on the other hand is sub-pare. We don't have much money so some things are broke and out dated but we are getting better. In time a feel that this school will improve tremendously. However; our clubs are great; particularly FFA. We are a rural community so the student see agriculture every single day. Most students have a farmer in the family or knows of one. I have been a FFA chapter officer for 3 years. i feel that FFA has helped my a lot in building leadership skills, personal growth, and in finding a career that best suits me. Being in FFA made my high school career great. My high schools FFA chapter is a great one. I'm so happy to be a part of it.
