Alum: I enjoyed going to LP High School. There are lots of activities and
clubs to belong to. The teachers are good and I learned a lot. The teachers genuinely cared for the students. I loved playing basketball the most and made lasting friendships. I also played softball and we got to go on a spring trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I also played tennis and we had the best coaches.
I really enjoyed football season; such an exciting time for everyone. My tennis partner and I got to lead the team onto the field during one game, running ahead of the team with flags. The student section always had so much fun cheering on the team. Our school spirit was the best!

Putnam County High School
- Putnam County Community Unit School District No. 535, IL
- 14 reviews
Senior: I enjoy Putnam County because overall the atmosphere is good. It is a small area so everyone knows everyone. It can be good because you know there are always people there for you if needed. I would like to see the food change. It is not healthy and is not very good. I know the cooks try hard, but it is difficult because of the food from whoever we buy it from. I would also like to see more funding for the P.E. program. The weight machines in the weight room are starting to break because they are old. There is not enough money in the budget to buy all new machines, so I wish there were a way to fund raise for it.

Hall High School

Senior: Hall is in a nice community and is the perfect size. There aren't too many (or too few) students, and the staff is very kind. I've been inspired by many of my teachers, and I feel they've made me a better person. However, I think the school is somewhat lacking in opportunities. We have a dual credit program with the local community college, but only a few of those classes align with my interests. I was able to take Calculus I and II through this program, but I have to take my current math class online. We also lack in computer science classes, which is my intended major. Overall, though, I think Hall is a pretty good school.
