Senior: Geneseo High School is an amazing educational facility. Your well being and education is always held in high regard. The teachers are kind, caring, and always willing to help you with problems in or out of the classroom. The atmosphere is always good and I always feel safe on school grounds. The only problem with our school is that it’s pretty secluded from the rest of the world and there is very little diversity, but with a small town this is very common.

Moline Senior High School
#205 Best Public High Schools in Illinois
- Moline Unified School District No. 40, IL
- 339 reviews
Junior: Moline Sr. High School has had a legacy of having capable teachers and many activities and sports for students. The school is being improved with not only a new performing arts facility but also a new athletic facility coming in the next year. There are many activities and clubs for students ranging from Intramurals to Spanish Heritage Club to Robotics Club. The teachers and faculty work hard to make it a safe and friendly environment for all students, and clubs like Natural Helpers also exist to create a system for all students to help each other out and support each other. The only complaints I have would be the athletic facilities, most notably the swimming pool. They are improving the facilities within the next year, however.

Orion High School

Senior: Overall the experiences I have had at Orion have been very good. I came in as a 6th grader to the district and I instantly felt welcome into the school atmosphere, due to the nice teachers and the very friendly students who surrounded me. I would like to see a program designed to help tutor students, using the other students because I feel it can be very beneficial for a student to learn from their peers and it also helps the student teaching because they can really expand their understanding when discovering ways to help others understand.

The Little Theater and the large auditorium are art deco style and have been updated as well.

Senior: The education itself was very good. The teachers were helpful and make sure you know what you are doing and work hard to keep the students caught up. There is however, a bullying issue happening throughout the students that doesn't seem to be helped by the school. There is a lot of resources for the students however that is helped and used by the community. There is recent technology being used by the students and faculty. There is a wide variety of sports, clubs, and activities for students to participate in. There is an officer that patrols the school to keep us safe. There is art and music programs although not as funded as sports, they are still quite encouraging of the arts. The school often involves parents in programs to help the students and make them feel part of their child's education.
