Alum: I was so fortunate to go to school here — AMAZING school district. I loved the teachers, they were always helpful & there for you and were amazing teachers Academically with great personalities. The school is very football oriented and other sports don’t get as much attention; however, the Football team has a history of being great (which brings in money & attention) & the head coach does a ton of fundraising (unlike many other sports) — so it makes sense why the town is so football oriented. This was my only complaint about going there, being a female who played sports other than football, but i understand why my sports didn’t receive the attention or funding that football did. Anyone who speaks less about this school didn’t utilize their resources or has biased information.

Senior: Oregon was a very good High School to attend. Just like any other school it has flaws. Mostly the bullying and teachers letting kids get away with anything and everything. Although this has happened not many students are effected by it because they don't really care. If you don't pay attention to it happening it's not really noticeable. Other than that Oregon is a phenomenal High School and I plan on going back to the District to teach because I like it so much.

Polo Community High School
#284 Best Public High Schools in Illinois

Alum: Small school so lots of one-on-one time with teachers. I knew everybody in my entire High School, with less than 200 students enrolled. As far as sports and clubs go, anybody could participate in anything. There weren't really any "cuts". There are lots of opportunities for students in a smaller school. The Drama program is awesome, and all are welcome to join.

Senior: Forreston is very family-oriented. During times of tragedy, the community all comes together. There are a lot of wonderful classes. The attendance at football games is high, as well.
