Junior: This is my third week here, and I just love everything about! Everyone is super nice and welcoming in the environment. The professors give you chances to schedule office hours if you need help, and the student mentors are great too. I love how we can rent our study rooms, and having the academic success center which is used to help students. Along with that, we are a program of students that are working towards our high school diploma and associate degree. Senior: Pompano Beach high school is an amazing. It offers so many different programs and we have Fridays off! My favorite thing about my school is our international program, very other year we host an international summit. We invite schools all over the globe to our school for a week. We earn how students in different countries learn and live their lives. Senior: McFatter was a wonderful school that I'm proud to say I attended. Teachers and Staff were willing to help you out if you ever asked and there were plenty of tutoring opportunities. Although we may not have a sports team or a proper band, we make up for it with plentiful clubs. The P.E. course was also very fun. They offer many AP courses that will all help complete your GEP requirements for college, as well as offer Dula Enrollment. The technical programs really are the star of the show. I'm coming out of high school already as a nurse! How cool is that? Anyone can go in and come out with many different certifications that can help you immediately find a better-paying job. Despite also being a college campus, the school takes extra precautions to keep the high school students and the college students separated and have plenty of officers on site if anything were to happen. Senior: As a senior at Sheridan Technical High School, my experience has been a mixed review. The students and most staff members show great respect for one another, creating a welcoming and safe environment. The teachers go above and beyond to help students excel. However, I have some concerns about the school overall. There is a limited selection of non-academic classes, and extracurricular activities that aren't academically focused receive little support. For instance, the drama club consistently wins awards and excels at the state level, but the school doesn't prioritize or assist the club adequately. Senior: It is an incredibly diverse school! The teachers are all qualified and value the education of their students. The campus is spacey and safe. It is also directly next to a public library, allowing a large variety of resources for learning and research. There is also a theatre of the performing arts run by the city of campus, which is often used by the school. Performances are put on frequently and with good quality due to the city facility. Senior: Charter won't fail you! As long as you are actively communicating with your teachers and admin, you'll have one of the best experiences. Admin truly cares about the student body and is invested in their success. Some teachers can be difficult to deal with, but at the end of the day, there's always someone you can go to for advice or just to decompress. The athletics are pretty solid too, especially our girls' teams! The culture cultivated by majority of our teams are so unique because it's so family centered. The clubs offered are also pretty solid! Many of them would look great on college resumes and others are great to be apart of for the inclusivity component. Alum: The best parts of the school are definitely the types of clubs and activities they have to offer. For homecoming, there is an event called PowderPuff where all students of every grade can participate in. It is supposed to engage the students with the school more and hype them up for the upcoming homecoming football game. The school also offers plenty of amazing programs such as the Cambridge program that gives students a chance to earn a full bright futures scholarship at the end of of it. I definitely recommend it for any student who is dedicated enough for it. One bad quality I would have to mention is the lack of some courses that I hear other schools have such as the Cambridge course for Biology, but I’ve heard that they are implementing that class in this year or the next so I know that they are trying to improve this.... Alum: My 4 years at Hialeah Gardens High School was overall very good. All of my teachers were very caring and kind towards their students, they were understanding, and they helped me learn so much. Hialeah Gardens offers so many clubs and extracurricular activities to participate in. We’ve had so many fun events such as pep rallies and football games throughout my time there and every single event was so much fun. One thing I would change about the school is that it needs more life skills classes such as learning about taxes, how to get a job, how to make a professional resume, learning about credit card/score, etc.. Classes that would 100% come in handy for students in the future when they go out into the real world and have to finally do adult things. Senior: Being at iTech is an interesting experience. Although there aren't many students and not everyone talks to each other the whole school is connected from one person to another in some way. The Teachers are overall the best part of iTech, they love the students and try their best to help students receive the best grades possible. The 2 reading/English teachers there give the most parental love possible to the students while being extremely strict with grades and turning in assignments. I have gotten where I am today because of the amazing care the teachers put into making sure students understand the work being taught to them. The teachers are always there to help even students who are not there own. The Guidance Consular helps to make sure that all seniors are where they need to be in order to graduate and spends extra time helping students get to where they need to get in terms of going to college.... Junior: I really enjoy going to Keys Gate, it is a very diverse school, and as student that came from another country when I first came in made me feel at home because there are a lot of students and teachers from other countries. Also I made a lot of friendships and I knew a lot of beautiful people in my baseball team and the different clubs I belong to. Sophomore: The Miramar High School is a fascinating school, to say the least. I've only been there for one year, and it's been an adventure. The best part of the Miramar High School experience is that there are many courses to choose from, you'll never feel limited to only a couple of classes. This school offers some electives such as Aviation, Fashion Design, Culinary, and even Marketing Essentials, which you don't see in every school! Senior: Overall, the best part about this school is the teacher’s active in seeing a student succeed. Considering that our school is only about 3 years old as of 2023, the school’s faculty and staff has managed to deal with the many novel challenges. Amongst them was Covid in our schools first year. Another challenge more personal for the students might have been the lack of net students. As I previously mentioned our school is only a few years old and growing with time. This has resulted in a very low number of students, barely peaking at 1,000. Though it is important to mention that the school is receiving more and more students everyday now. JC Bermudez Doral Senior High is also made very straightforward to accomplish your goals and other standard requirements. Freshman: The school's facility wasn't up to par but you meet great people. Each teachers difficulty differed. I did feel as if they gave out detentions for no reason and so teachers were very disorganized. During my year the campus was pretty calm. There is no security; there was one coach that acted like security but I don't really think it was his job. The school has a French track, where the subjects are taught in French. I think this augments the diversity of the school because you get to meet foreign people and get a taste of their world. There were no field trips but there were foreign exchange programs.
