Senior: I love Booker T. Washington for the school culture! The academics at Booker T. is unmatched by the variety of AP and IB courses offered. College readiness is highly encouraged and counselors are excited to help you start the new chapter in your life as we even have an Ivy League-specific college advisor. The athletics and arts programs are well funded and have won many awards. The diversity at Booker T. is the best in Tulsa, Ok. Senior: I have gone to Jenks public schools my whole life. My brothers graduated here and had many experiences! I participated in sports, became the VP of a club, and still see many opportunities for everything to join and get involved everywhere. We are a large school so having those clubs and activities really helps to stay connected. I have had great teachers and some not-very-good teachers- it definitely depends, I have definitely learned I am a light critiquer of everything! Senior: My experience at Owasso High School has been wonderful! Just like any other school, it has its flaws, but I wouldn't choose a different high school in Oklahoma to have gone to. The academics, arts, and sports are the top in the region/stage, and Owasso High Schools band is one of the best in the nation. While the administration could do better, the teachers are typically caring, helpful, and very knowledgeable. We have countless electives, clubs, and extracurriculars to choose from so everyone can find something they love to do at Owasso. Owasso High School, along with the rest of Owasso Public schools, has done a great job making us feel safe. We go perform safety drills very often, and teachers always come up with a great plan in case of emergencies. If you are looking for a great school to send you children to, in northeast Oklahoma, definitely give Owasso a chance. Senior: My experience at this school was immaculate. The school has so many amazing teachers who love their job and to teach kids new things. Almost all the teachers I had tried their hardest to make learning fun, and most did do that. Especially my honors classes, who not just taught us things on a board, but had us be interactive and got to go into dissecting things like hearts, livers, and eyes! One of many of my favorite things about the school was the sports because the coaches had passion in what they did and had us push ourselves to our limit. TSAS, when I was there, was not the high school + middle school it is now, and that is what makes it so great, they always believed in room for improvement, growth. Senior: Well Charles Page High School is overall a good academic/college ready school. The teachers and faculty are really supportive. They really care about the students future and education. It's pretty diverse and with all the different diversities in the school brings in a lot of organizations and activities. Take me for example I'm a Native American and the Indian Educators pushed for Native American organizations inside the school. The schools administration let the school have one called Native American Student Association (NASA). There's many more organizations and activities Charles Page has to offer like National Honor Society (NHS), sports, and the National FFA Organization(Future Farmers of America). But one thing that would benefit Charles Page, is more parent involvement. The parents are involved in some of the activities there kids are in, but if there was more involvement in the academic part I think most students will excel more in their grades and future education pathways.... Senior: Berryhill High School has been a great experience for me! Even though I am doing online for the rest of my senior year because of health problems but even though I'm doing online the school is doing everything they can to make sure that I am doing well or if I need any help with my online classes. I love the atmosphere at the school! When football comes around there is always so much school spirit! Senior: Kiefer High school has made a great impact on my life. I really enjoyed this school and the teachers. At first I didn’t think I would ever go to a small high school and learn anything but going to kiefer high school has taught me and prepared me for my future as an adult and career. I have such a great relationship with each of my teachers that are even willing to stay after school hours to help you be successful. Especially the high school councilor which she pushes everyone and always encouraging us to take advance classes and is always there when we need to talk. Sophomore: Dove Science Academy Tulsa High School is a STEM focused charter school that works hard to prepare its students for college. Although the school may be small, there is still a variety of classes where teachers can work one on one with their students to prepare them for their future and to help them in their studies. The school consists of many honor and AP classes as well as the opportunity to take college classes while in High School. There are many teachers who are willing to go out of their way to motivate their students to set them up for their future. Despite the excellent STEM classes that this school provides, there isn't great funding for sports or more art classes (although we do have a great art class still), but the majority of this is simply because of the lack of funding and the primary focus of this school.
