Junior: I enjoy a lot of what MHS has to offer but by far my favorite aspect is the tailored learning experience they offer. To elaborate, they offer many AP programs, and even offer "customised" courses for students struggling to keep up with the regular curriculum. Along with that, I appreciate that many of the classes offered positively interact with the community, for example, the intro to programming course allows you to create a light show for the city's annual "Winter Wonderland" show. The opportunities within MHS are plentiful whether you want to pursue post-secondary school or jump right into the workforce, MHS has the classes, clubs, and teachers to prepare you.

Senior: Most of the teachers were amazing and always super helpful. There are a lot of class options and course opportunities. If you can't find a class that you want to take or if there isn't a class within the year that you want to take, you can take a class online either through Rural Virtual Academy or a Distance Learning class. I loved learning and the classes but I hated all the people.

Alum: I transferred to Lincoln High School three weeks into my senior year. At first, I was apprehensive, but I quickly grew to enjoy the school, and all that it had to offer. Being a music student, I really enjoyed the music curriculum, and also had a blast at the many sports games we played as a band at. There were some instances throughout the year that were less than great, but when isn't there? Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my year there, and cannot imagine graduating from a different school. Cheers!

Senior: I would have to say that I am very grateful for having gone to this school my whole school career so far because it is a great district that will help you with anything you need so long as you ask. It has a great community around it too because I went from having no friends in the area to finding a lot of great friends who share a lot in common with me. When I started my freshmen year of high school I was quite scared because it actually starts to decide your future so I didn't want to fail at anything. The teachers here are some of the most understanding people I have ever meet anywhere they will help you with anything. They will even make accommodations to assignments if you have anything that could prohibit you from completing something on time. Overall my experience with going to Port Edwards High School was amazing and I wouldn't change to a different school no matter what.

Parent: While it's a rural, public school, I can't help but notice that it has a real faith based atmosphere to it. Parents and students seem to be very close knit and supportive.

Senior: Nekoosa High School is a small school in Central Wisconsin. The teachers are great and the education is overall very good. I do wish we had more Advanced Placement classes available, but that is difficult with a small school. Athletics are strong at Nekoosa and give everyone a chance to be involved. Students are generally very nice and there is not discrimination or really any bullying. I believe that most kids feel included if they want to be. We aren't a very diverse community, but the diversity we do have is embraced. Nekoosa High School has prepared me for life after high school and for college I believe. I do feel very safe at the school as well. Overall it is a great school!
